There is a feeling between thrilling and dangerous when you are on a motorcycle. In this space you feel nothing but free and wild. For every rider this point is different. That’s how ATWYLD got its name. Not only do the ladies of ATWYLD know this feeling, they have even managed to put that feeling into a women’s line of riding apparel. So no matter if you find your “wyld” side at 50 MPH or 100MPH, you will always look good doing it in ATWYLD clothing.
ATWYLD clothing was started by three friends, Anya, Jaime, and Corinne, who love to ride motorcycles, but were sacrificing safety for style. They found themselves riding in “cute” jeans and jackets that provided little to no protection. They did this in lieu of riding in clothing that was ill fitting and made them lose their shape and basically leave them looking like boys. After many late night beers and conversations about this dilemma, these three friends decided there was a definite need in the marketplace and that they had the experience to fill it!
In a little less than a year these gals are changing the face of women’s motorcycle riding apparel. And not only are their designs moto chic, they are also doing all their manufacturing in the United States. I was lucky enough to catch up with them at their recent pop up shop at Erico Motorsports in Denver. Their riding jackets and coveralls are not only made of durable 13.7 oz Dyneema denim, they also contour to a woman’s body and have lots of cute details like side zippers and deep pockets. And even if you don’t ride, but still want to look cool, try out their soft chino, garage-mechanic inspired romper!
Erico will be continuing the ATWYLD pop-up shop through the second week in August. Thanks ladies for stopping by Denver! I really hope someday soon to ride with Denver’s all girl riding club, the Scarlet Headers and join all of you at Babes Ride Out!
