As summer is quickly coming to an end, it’s time to drop our beach bags for backpacks. My favorite part about going back to school, besides seeing my friends, is Homecoming. Homecoming is a tradition celebrated in high schools all over the country. While the cheerleaders are preparing their routines and the band is rehearsing the fight song, the rest of the school is very busy planning their ideal Homecoming week. Student council is usually in charge of putting together spirit week while the student body prepares by proudly wearing the school colors. Homecoming ushers in a fun week of festivities that really brings the whole school together. There’s nothing like school spirit! Myself and Sophia Berry soberrysomething.blogspot.com are two teens that love getting into the Homecoming spirit and are here are some checklists we came up with to help you make the most out of your Homecoming celebration!
One Month Before:
-Start checking out your favorite stores to try and the find the perfect dress, shoes and accessories. Sophia and I choose Soignee Elegant Attire for our homecoming dance dresses and accessories!
-Start trying to hint to that special someone that you’d LOVE to go do the dance with them.
-If you’d rather go with your girlfriends, round them all up and make it a rockin girls night out!
One Week Before:
– Visit your school store and pick out a sweatshirt or t-shirt to wear to the pep rally.
– Make your hair, makeup and pampering appointments for the day of the dance.
– Definitely don’t forget to buy your tickets for the game and the dance.
– Make plans with your friends to attend an after party or a relaxing sleepover.
Day of the Big Game!:
– Pull out your new tee or sweatshirt, paint your face with your school colors and start cheering for your team!
Day of the Dance:
-Get your hair done and make sure you have plenty of time to do your makeup and complete your look.
-Pack your small evening clutch with only the essentials like your phone, credit card, tickets and of course, some lip gloss.
-And to make sure you always remember this fabulous night, go head to the park or a friends house and take loads of Instagramable pics!
