Are you ready for a Summer Concert?

I’ve been gone for a good part of the Summer, so I needed to catch up on my Summer outdoor concert season!  With an upcoming trip to Fiddler’s Green to see The Lumineers  with my friend, Olivia, it got me thinking:  What should I wear?  What should I bring?

Besides Fidder’s Green, there are several other outdoor venues that are perfect for Summer music including:

Red Rocks

Levitt Pavillion

City Park Jazz

Botanic Gardens Concert Series

Depending on the venue (check their websites), you might consider packing the following:

Picnic Basket from The Truffle Cheese Shop or bring along money for a food truck!  Don’t forget to throw in a few bottles of water or maybe some Pressery Juice made locally in Denver, Green Zinger is my favorite!

How about a comfy chair, like the Kelty Lowdown Chair from the Wilderness Exchange or a brightly colored, easy to carry tierra blanket from locally owned Evo.  Evo also has a great assortment of rain gear, because you don’t want to be caught off guard by a fast moving Colorado rain shower!

Uber or ride your bike (don’t forget a bike lock)

Sometimes my dog likes to tag along to concerts like Jazz in the Park.  So if your pet is allowed, make sure you bring their leash, a water dish and in our case a tennis ball!

Also don’t forget to pack your concert tickets (or make sure they are loaded on your phone), as well as look at the weather forecast.  And if you are like me, you probably like to come home with a concert tee or a program, so again, don’t forget to bring some cash, sunglasses, sunscreen and a portable phone charger!

Here’s to a great end to Summer, and thanks for checking in!
